The method
COACHINGTHE PLAYER,NOT JUSTTHE STROKE.
Every player moves differently, sees the game differently and plays differently. Coaching should start there.
The starting point
START WITHTHE PLAYER.
A visible stroke problem may not begin with the racket or the swing.
Coaching begins by understanding the person using the stroke: what their body can do, how they move, what they see and what they are trying to achieve.
The aim is not to create one correct-looking player. It is to understand what lets this player play more efficiently and effectively.

The ART Tennis approach
FROM MOVEMENTTO PLAY.
Four connected ways to understand what happens on a tennis court.
- 01
MOVE.
How can your body make the shot easier?
Movement is how the body creates and transfers force. Balance, spacing, coordination and timing all shape what becomes possible at the racket.
Balance · Spacing · Coordination · Efficiency
- 02
PERCEIVE.
What is happening before contact?
Tennis starts before the ball reaches the strings. The player is reading trajectory, opponent, court position, time, space and the situation around every shot.
Ball · Trajectory · Opponent · Time and space
- 03
DECIDE.
What are you trying to make happen?
A technically sound stroke still needs an intention. Direction, score, opponent and the time available shape the decision a player can make.
Intention · Direction · Situation · Score
- 04
PLAY.
How does it become your game?
Technique is a tool for playing. Patterns, tactics, point construction, open drills and match play bring movement, perception and decisions together.
Patterns · Tactics · Points · Match play

Who this is for
FOR PLAYERSWHO WANT TOKNOW WHY.
- 01
You know what you are supposed to do, but it does not always happen.
- 02
Your stroke works in practice, but becomes harder to use in points.
- 03
You want to understand what kind of game actually suits you.
- 04
You want to improve how you move, see, decide and play.
